Body & Spine Align – Summer Newsletter 2012 #1

Summer Newsletter 2012

2012 has got off the a rapid start. New Year’s Resolutions come and go, but the most popular ones are to “lose weight” and “get fit”, followed by “stop smoking”.

I am asked so often What is the best way to lose weight?” that it has prompted me to write this article. Summer is in full swing so the pool and beach are calling. Unfortunately, once we strip down to the bare essentials, all our little excesses show up in full glory. Fat thighs, belly and hips, and lately the “back boobs”. Oh dear!

I have started with Weight loss tips and then go into more detail further into the article.

Tots go off to  Prep-school

Many little ones have gone off to prep school for the first time while their parents tried to contain hopes and fears for their little treasures. I hope all those mums, dads  and grandparents too, who were excited and worried are now starting to settle down as the Tots get into a routine for prep school each day.Congratulations to all the tots for making this huge transition. Well done!

How quickly they grow up. I can still remember my boy’s first day at kindy and school. That was 23 years ago.

Big Love, Low Budget  Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is meant to give you an opportunity to express your love for another. True love doesn’t need expensive gifts or outrageous pranks. There are lots of Low Budget, Big Love ways to demonstrate your feelings.

Photo Montage

Remember all those romantic and fun times together with a Photo Montage on a huge card that can be mounted on a wall or notice board. Another idea is to create a small photo album with snaps that warm your heart and bring a smile to your face.

Create a video from photos

A bit of excitement can be easily created in a short video with Animoto.com. You can make a stunning 30 second video complete with different fades in and out, music and captions for FREE. Or for the princely sum of  $5 you have a bigger variety of themes and your video can last for up to 5 minutes. It is super simple to use with digital photos and short 5 second video bites. Then it can be emailed or posted on Facebook. Big Love all round.

Plan a Romantic Picnic

Plan your itinerary to a beautiful park or garden, waterfall, lookout with picnic spot or somewhere in the world that delights your partner. Pack a sumptuous salad, a couple of treats (what about the 1,2,3,4 muffins? So quick and easy), sparkling water, thermos of tea or coffee, camera and picnic rug and head to your little piece of paradise.

Breakfast in bed

I don’t know about you, but there is something quite decadent about having breakfast in bed. Especially if it has been prepared by that special someone.

Candle lit dinner

It doesn’t have to be expensive, just prepared with love and care. You are sure to be appreciated for your efforts.

VibroGym – change of days

Body & Spine Align – VibroGym sessions are buzzing (pardon the pun). Since resuming gym sessions in January, both morning and afternoon sessions are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a day of rest between each session for recovery. The new program seems to be working very well for everyone. Session times are filling so if you are interested in coming for your FREE trial, please book your time to experience to amazing benefits to your core strength, flexibility and posture, happen easily with VibroGym.

The Vibrogym has been a great addition to my busy work schedule, it’s only 20 mins. So easy to schedule into my day, and I like that I have my regular appointments booked, so I am accountable for coming (I too easily decide not to go to a gym coz no-one is expecting me).

I have changed my shape since coming as well, and everyone is noticing how trim I look. The best thing is that I don’t have to slog it out at the gym to get the results…the exercises feel strong but safe.  Vicki is a great guide and ensures my technique is good.

I also like the little things, like the great herbal tea mixes that we get in the mornings, and fresh filtered water to take home…nice little touches to help us stay healthy”

How to Lose Weight

How to lose weight

The question on everyone’s hips…. and belly. ” What is the best way to lose weight?” is asked of me so often that it has prompted me to write this article.

Summer is in full swing so the pool and beach are calling. Unfortunately, once we strip down to the bare essentials, all our little excesses show up in full glory. Fat thighs, belly and hips, and lately the “back boobs”. Oh dear!

Weight loss tips

Most people want to start with weight loss tips and skip all the stuff about the science behind weight loss.  So here goes

  1. Drink filtered water 20 minutes before and after meals and also between meals

  2. Plan your shopping trips, meals and snacks. Organise them before you are hungry.

  3. Eat whole fresh food – an orange instead of orange juice, steamed potato instead of potato chips

  4. Exercise briskly for 10 minutes per day – make sure you puff a bit!

  5. Eat small meals before you get hungry.

  6. Don’t skip meals – Skipping meals tricks your body into thinking it is starving and will halt fat burning

  7. Read food labels – ‘Low fat’ often disguises High Carbohydrate/sugar content

  8. Sleep well. Go to bed a little earlier.

  9. Laugh and love regularly

  10. Be consistent – 19/21 Rule – 19 great meal choices out of 21 meals

If you want to know “why this is so”, Read More

Low Fat verses Low Carb Diet

I am not a believer of Low fat diets or ‘low fat’ foods. Fat is not stored as fat unless you eat a lot of it.  Your body’s first choice is to use any excess carbohydrates to store as fat. So the biggest contributors to weight gain are excess carbs  and artificial sweeteners, not fat. Trans Fats are a different story. Most food on the shelves at the supermarket with a shelf-life and use-by-date is full of Trans Fats.

We need fat – ‘good fat’ -to make our hormone and nervous systems work properly. Did you know that your brain is mostly fat? So is the protective coating around all your nerves [myelin sheath]. Your nervous system is vital for not only mental health but also muscle health. Essential vitamins A, D, E and K are all fat soluble. I wonder how much of the latest vitamin D deficiency is related to all the “low fat” food we are now consuming. Trying to find full fat cottage cheese, yoghurt and cream on the shelves at the supermarket takes persistence.

Low Carb foods are fresh, whole fruit and vegetables. The 2:5 rule of 2 whole fruits and 5 serves of vegetable each day works well. Eat as much raw food as possible. Raw food is full of enzymes which help us stay health.

High carbohydrate foods [soft drinks, juices, flavoured milk, dried fruit] and refined carbohydrate foods [bread, white rice and pasta] cause a rush of insulin into your system. Any excess carbs are stored as fat. High fat storage leads to insulin resistance. Insulin resistance leads to high fat storage. High fat storage leads to insulin resistance. Oops, that sounds like a merry-go-round loop!

Insulin resistance in adult and child population contributes to the obesity epidemic and makes losing weight difficult. So generally, the people who need to lose weight the most, find it difficult and get discouraged through poor results, so tend to give up.

What can I eat?

Your body stays healthier for life when you eat foods as they come from nature.

  • Full fat milk, unhomogenized if possible;

  • Virgin Cold Pressed Oils and salad dressings – learn how to make your own dressings;

  • Organic Free Range Eggs – back yard chickens are great pets!

  • Raw and fresh fruit and vegetables in all colours of the rainbow

  • Grass Fed meats – most of the meat at the supermarket is grain fed. Ask your butcher for beef, chicken and pork that has been grass fed. Change happens when we, ” the customer”, begin to request it.

  • Nuts and seeds – natural and raw. Keep a bowl of nuts in their shells on the coffee table with a nut cracker. Loads of fun and they are mighty good for you.

  • Cold water fish – Salmon, tuna, mackerel – Full of Essential Fatty Acids [EFA]. They are not called Essential for no reason.

  • Loads of filtered water, herb teas, some green tea

  • Whole grain breads and cereals – in moderation. Aim for only 2 serves per day.

How Can I Reverse Insulin Resistance?

  1. Exercise for at least 10 minutes per day to the point of puffing with interval and resistance training
  2. Limit Carbs to complex, whole carbohydrate foods. Reducing carbohydrates will “kick Start” your body into fat burning cycles.
  3. Increase your protein intake with each meal and include some protein with all your snacks. Boiled egg, nuts, protein shakes -also kick starts Fat Burning
  4. Eat good quality fat -EFA and Cold Pressed Virgin Oils, Avocado
  5. AVOID fried foods – they are full of trans fats which produce free radicals and make it harder to lose weight.
  6. Take high quality Essential Fatty Acids – EFA, plant based mineral and vitamin supplements to neutralise Free Radicals in our environment
  7. Eat at home, eat fresh. Take lunch and snacks with you. Most take away food, even a sandwich or roll, is generally carbohydrate rich and protein poor  and often are loaded with Bad Fats -trans fats.
  8. Drink heaps of filtered Water
  9. Be consistant – 19/21 meals choices are GREAT choices

Best Exercise to Lose Weight?

By far the best exercise to lose weight is High Energy Aerobic Training – H.E.A.T or High Intensity Interval Training- H.I.I.T. Many people wonder why they run for 60 minutes at a moderate pace 3-4 days a week and platuae before they reach their goal weight. A fantastic resource isThe 10-Minute Total Body Breakthrough” by Sean Foy.

Your body is kicked into fat burning when it works hard [spurts of huff and puff] for a  minute, punctuated with intervals of recovery exercise at a moderate pace. What does that mean? For example, run for 30 seconds at your fastest pace then jog for 30 seconds to recover and repeat this cycle for 3-4 minutes then change to push ups, squats or skipping and repeat the cycles for about 10 minutes in total.

After you have finished exercising at  intense levels for 10 minutes, your body will continue to burn fat for up to 48 hours. In contrast to continued moderate exercise where your fat burning capabilities taper off quite quickly after completing your exercise routine.

The VibroGym offers a similar exercise style to H.I.I.T.  The vibration plate accelerates muscle contractions to 30-40 times per second. Each exercise is performed between 30-60 seconds, then rest for 1 minute while you change to another muscle group. The VibroGym also initiates postural and core muscles to improve posture and endurance.

I hope this has given you the answer to some of your questions. Please comment if you have questions or success stories.

Body & Spine Align Christmas News 2011 #4

Seasons Greetings

Can you believe that Christmas is only a week away? This year has flown by so quickly that even the children are complaining that they don’t have enough time.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for supporting Body & Spine Align throughout the past year. My purpose is to bring health, healing and life balance to as many people as possible. With your help that dream is being realised. I hope I have made it easier for you to realise some of your dreams too.

Laughter is the Best Medicine

A curious cat takes a bath unexpectedly. Only a short Video. Hope you enjoy it.

The New VibroGym Studio

The main reason for moving to 78 Macrossan Avenue was to accommodate the VibroGym studio. There is a quaint garage in the back yard that is perfect for the Vibrogym studio. It has lots of natural light, a great view of the garden and chickens, high ceilings and air-conditioning for those stiflingly hot days. Not that we have had many so far. There is room for another Vibrogym machine when the need arises.

It is a great space so the transition has been a great success.

Every morning, as everyone finished their workout routine, we have a refreshing cup of tea made with superb quality teas supplied by a local company Tour De Tea. The all time favourites are Panjabi Chai, Genmaecha, Raspberry Vanilla Rooibos.

6 ways to stay fit this Christmas

Get outdoors

People who exercise outdoors are more likely to stick to a program. It can get hot, so early mornings and late afternoons are ideal for getting a bit of exercise outdoors.

  1. Take the kids to the park with a Frisbee, kite or ball and get active with them.
  2. Go bush with the dog and get some varied terrain. Nature always turns on a good show.
  3. Try a bike ride. Brisbane has so many bike tracks now and many of them are picturesque
  4. Get wet and paddle a bit. Swimming, paddling a canoe or raft can be a lot of fun

Drink Up

Yes you read right. Drink up… at least 2 litres of filtered water every day, especially if you are out and about. Marginal dehydration slows your metabolism. So by staying well hydrated you will be burning fat. Water also satisfies hunger pangs.

  • Have a large glass of water 20-30 minutes before eating.
  • Avoid drinking water with your meal as it dilutes the stomach acid and makes your digestion sluggish.
  • Adding the juice of ½ a lemon or lemon oil to your water will help detox your system and keep everything moving well, which helps weight loss. It is also much more refreshing than plain water.

Size Matters

Studies show that we are putting more on our plates each meal. This may be one reason we are becoming an obese nation. Size Does matter. Try using a smaller plate and smaller eating utensils to encourage you to eat smaller meals.  For example, try a teaspoon for soup and desserts. They will make the pleasure and flavour of the treat last twice as long.

Keep Moving

When you are with friends and family, keep your body moving. Dancing, singing, clapping hands and even laughing will all burn calories and send happy thoughts to your brain that creates endorphins (the happy hormone). Endorphins help us stay young and healthy. And its loads more fun than sitting and listening to Uncle Bob’s jokes again.

Go for colour

We are very fortunate that we have such a large variety of foods to choose from. When you are roaming the buffet go for colourful food. Not the artificial coloured type. Colourful foods are full of antioxidants and essential vitamins and minerals that fight free radicals. Free radicals are created when we eat too much sugar, starch and alcohol. I know none of you will be doing that.

Pile your plate with green salads, bright fruits and vegetables. See how many colours your can eat in one meal. If you eat 80% colour you will be doing your metabolism a favour. Colourful food is usually rich in fibre too so it keeps you feeling satisfied for longer.

Supplement with good oils

Omega-3 essential fatty acids are known to reduce bad behaviour by 34% in prisoners. Amazing hey? Omega-3 oils reduce inflammation like gout, arthritis, asthma and eczema. All of which can play havoc with your fun at this time of year. It is also linked to reducing depression and stress and improving memory. So start now and get a good daily dose into you, your spouse and the children so you all have a happy holiday season.

Holiday Closure

This year I will be taking a longer break than usual over the Christmas period to catch up with friends and family from out of town. Therefore the practice will be closed from 6pm Friday 23rd December until 6am Monday 9th January 2012.

If you get into strife during that time please feel free to call 0429030111 and leave a message with my message service and I will return your call as soon as I am available. Many problems can be addressed over the phone.

The joy of giving and receiving

The tradition at this time of year is to give. We give our time as well as gifts.

We are a very affluent society and most of us have more than we need. This makes gift giving expensive and difficult.

If you would like to do something different and give a sustainable gift, you could consider giving a goat, duck, chicken or lamb through www.oxfamunwrapped.com.au. It costs $39.00 to give a sustainable gift to a village or family where it will be really appreciated.

Another option is www.kiva.org , an organization that allows people to lend money via the Internet to micro finance institutions and individuals to start profitable projects. It only costs $25 and the money gets repaid to you. It can then be reinvested in other projects that you like. You choose the person or project where your money is lent and you can watch the progress of their venture and repayment plan.

Stay Sun Safe

Even with the overcast weather it is easy to get sunburnt in summer in Australia. Be sensible and stay out of the midday sun. Limit your time of exposure and cover up. Hats and sunnies make life much more comfortable too.

Stay safe on the roads and I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.

Season’s Greetings

Thank you once again for a wonderful year. I look forward to being of service to you and your family in the New Year.

Vicki Tate

Stay Young! Avoid Exercise Casualties

The challenge of getting fit for the warm months often leads us into overdoing things before our bodies are ready.

This week I’ve treated a couple of injuries that are a direct result of not warming up and stretching properly before undertaking strenuous exercise.

Our bodies work best when we have a combination of strength and flexibility. When you have neither it is a recipe for disaster.

No matter what level of fitness you presently have,  invest some time each day in doing basic stretches. If you work in an office your chances of injury are increased. The Australian Government was so concerned about it they published a large document on the subject.  Here is a link to the complete document

‘The Dream Machine and Pelvic Floor Muscles’

About 6 months ago I invested in a VibroGym to increase my muscle tone and fitness. It quickly became obvious that nearly everyone could benefit from the VibroGym too.

At the Mind Body Spirit Festival, it’s ability to reduce pain and stiffness in only 5 minutes was astounding, to say the least. I was amazed at the  relief it gave people with serious pain issues.

Some people call it the “Dream Machine” as it is so easy to use and the results are dramatic. It is the ideal training method for busy people or those with limited strength and movement. It even repairs torn tendons!!

I have been amazed at the VibroGym’s ability to strengthen core and postural muscles within a couple of weeks. Pelvic Floor exercises can be tedious, but with the VibroGym they tone up quickly and easily.

The  thing that excites me, is to see people who claim to have either no pelvic floor muscles or no sense of their pelvic floor and core muscles get a HUGE wake up after just a few minutes on the VibroGym.

Do yourself a favour and book in for your FREE trial today and see for yourself.

If Your Multivitamin Contains These Ingredients – Dump them now..

Posted By Dr. Mercola | August 22 2011
Just because something is touted as being “natural” or “healthy” doesn’t automatically make it true, and such is the case with some multi-vitamins. You really need to check the label and know what’s what, because there can be a vast difference between a synthetic or synthesized vitamin or mineral and the real thing. Some products may also contain additives and fillers that can cause problems in large doses.

According to the latest statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 50 percent of the US population takes some form of nutritional supplement each day, and approximately 40 percent of US adults take a daily multi-vitamin. But despite the fact that the U.S. spends close to $27 billion on supplements each year, the rates of most chronic diseases remain unchanged, while others are still on the rise.

If supplements are so good for us, why aren’t we getting healthier?

Part of the reason could be that many people mistakenly believe that a vitamin is a vitamin, and one form of a mineral is equal to any other, failing to understand the inherent differences between synthetic chemicals and whole food nutrients. Many also mistakenly use supplements as a way to avoid having to change their dietary habits. But the proof is in the pudding, as they say, because if you eat a diet consisting primarily of processed junk food, and take cheap synthetic vitamins and minerals, you’re not likely to see a major change in your health status…

It has always been my belief that supplements should be used in addition to, NOT in place of, a sound diet. You simply cannot cover your nutritional- or lifestyle “sins” by taking a handful of supplements.

Why Selenium Supplements have Become More Popular

Selenium is an essential trace mineral found primarily in plant foods, and is known to have powerful antioxidant activity. Past studies have shown it can play a beneficial role in:

Cancer Heart disease Cognitive decline
Cataracts and macular degeneration Cold sores and shingles Osteoarthritis

The selenium content in whole plant foods depend on the level of the nutrient in the soil, and, unfortunately, many farming areas around the world are becoming increasingly selenium depleted. Most of the selenium is also lost when the food is processed or refined, so unless you consume lots of whole organic produce, you may be at risk of selenium deficiency.

It is because of these facts that supplements containing selenium have increased in popularity in the United States, to the extent that close to 25 percent of Americans over 40 take a selenium supplement or multivitamin that includes selenium. However, supplementing with sodium selenite and selenate may do more harm than good…

Beware of Inorganic Selenium

As explained in the featured article, sodium selenite and selenate are two potentially problematic ingredients found in many multi-vitamins.

According to PAN, a database for pesticide chemicals, both sodium selenite and sodium selenate are classified as “Highly Toxic,” based on oral administration trials using rabbits and rats. And according to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the highest allowable level of selenium in public drinking water is 50 parts per billion, which is equivalent to 50 micrograms, dry weight.

Studies have shown that:

Long-term exposure to selenium, sodium selenite, sodium selenate, or selenium dioxide may cause paleness, coated tongue, stomach disorders, nervousness, metallic taste and a garlic odor of the breath. Damage to the liver and spleen in animals has also been observed, according to The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
According to the 1986 edition of the Handbook of the Toxicology of Metals, daily intake of about one milligram of selenium as selenite can be toxic.
In one study, sodium selenite was found to induce substantial DNA damage in human fibroblasts.
More recent research also indicates that too much selenium may contribute to the onset of diabetes.

It’s very important to realize that these potentially toxic chemicals are some of the primary forms of selenium sold as dietary supplements on the market today. As discussed in the featured article, such inorganic minerals cannot replace biologically active trace minerals.

Green Med Info writes:

“The selenium that is found in foods like brazil nuts, mustard seeds, and fresh produce grown in selenium-rich soil is infinitely different from the biologically inert forms being put in some multivitamins. In fact, i.e., sodium selenite/selenate can cause cancer, whereas the selenium found within food, or laboratory chelated forms like selenomethionine have all been shown to prevent and combat cancer.

The basic principle that explains this difference is that when you isolate a nutrient or vitamin out of the food complex within which it is naturally found, and where it is inseparably bound to thousands of known and unknown food factors (e.g., enzymes, protein chaperones, glyconutrients, etc.) it is no longer as beneficial to life. This is especially true in the case of vertebrate mammals who are equipped to get their minerals from the plants they ingest or through the biotransformation of inorganic minerals to organic ones by microflora in their gastrointestinal tracts.

The primary reason that sodium selenite/selenate are preferred by some vitamin manufacturers over safer, more beneficial forms like chelated or yeast-grown selenium is because it is more profitable to use raw materials of lower quality.”

Other Problematic Ingredients Found in Many Multi-Vitamins

In the U.S., many supplement makers add so-called ‘flowing agents’ into their capsules. Two common additives are:

Magnesium stearate
Titanium dioxide

Now, neither of these will cause any major harm in small doses. But they do add up over time, and magnesium stearate can cause a biofilm to be created in your intestine, which will prevent the absorption of nutrients. The only purpose of it in the supplement is to help the raw materials become more slippery and easily flow through the machines that create the supplements.

Magnesium stearate is not a supplemental source of magnesium but rather a form of stearic acid. It’s essentially chalk, and previous research has shown that it suppresses your natural killer cells, which are a key component of your immune system. Unfortunately, this chalk filler stimulates your gut to form a biofilm – a sort of sludge lining – that acts as an effective barrier to the absorption of not only that particular vitamin but all the nutrients you’d normally get from food sources as well. This is a major reason for focusing on nutritional foods rather than taking handfuls of vitamins each day.

Fortunately, once I became aware of this issue, I was able to get my personal brand multi-vitamins reformulated, so they do not contain magnesium stearate any longer. Titanium dioxide is another absolutely unnecessary color agent you don’t want to see in your supplements, as it has been shown to cause autoimmune disorders.

The Problem with Synthetic Vitamins

Most natural health experts agree on one thing: No matter which foods you eat, whole foods are far better for you than refined foods. So why do some people believe the rules of nutrition would suddenly change when it comes to vitamins and other nutritional supplements?

Whole food supplements are what their name suggests: Supplements made from concentrated whole foods. The vitamins found within these supplements are not isolated or synthetic. Rather they are highly complex structures that combine a variety of enzymes, coenzymes, antioxidants, trace elements, activators and many other unknown or undiscovered factors that work together synergistically, to enable this vitamin complex to do its job in your body.

Synthetic nutrients, on the other hand, are not natural, in that they are never found by themselves in nature. When you take these isolated nutrients regularly, especially at the ultra-high doses found in formulas today, it’s more like taking a drug… At best, they will not benefit you as much as high quality food and food-based supplements. And at worst, they may cause problems.

Nature does not produce any nutrient in an isolated form. The nutrients in foods are blended together in a specific way and work best in that format. For an isolated nutrient to work properly in the body, it needs all the other parts that are naturally present in the food too. If the parts are not all there from the start, they are taken from your body’s stored supply. This is why isolated nutrients often work for awhile, then seem to stop working.

Once your body’s store of the extra nutrients is used up, the isolated nutrient you’re taking just doesn’t work as well anymore. Worse yet, a deficiency in these extra nutrients can be created in your body.

Studies also show your body treats these isolated and synthetic nutrients like xenobiotics (foreign substances). This is why your urine will oftentimes turn some shade of glow-in-the-dark yellow when you take certain synthetic vitamins, as your body simply flushes these foreign substances out.

How to Identify High Quality Multi-Vitamin Supplements

I do believe that dietary supplements — including vitamins and minerals — can help compensate for some of the damage your body incurs through modern living. However, it’s not wise to use supplements to justify a poor diet. In my experience no amount of supplements will ever be able to substitute for healthy food choices…

There are times when supplements can be quite useful, and I believe that some supplements, such as a high quality animal-based omega-3 supplement, for example, are essential for nearly everyone. This is because the main source of animal based omega-3 fats in your diet comes from fish – most of which is now so grossly polluted with heavy metals, PCBs and other environmental toxins I can no longer recommend eating fish for optimal omega 3 levels. Another supplement that many people need is vitamin D3, unless you can get sufficient amounts of safe sun exposure year-round, or use a safe tanning bed.

Another incredibly useful supplement is probiotics, which influence the activity of hundreds of your genes, helping them to express in a positive, disease-fighting manner. You can get these healthy bacteria from eating fermented foods, and if you eat them enough you will keep your digestive tract well supplied with good bacteria, but there may still be times when a probiotic supplement is necessary, such as when you stray from your healthy diet and consume excess grains or sugar; if you have to take antibiotics; or when traveling to foreign countries for example.

There are other instances when supplements may be useful as well, such as in the case of CoQ10 if you’re taking statin drugs, but their effectiveness depends largely on the quality of the supplement itself.

You may also want to take one or more food-based supplements to ensure you are getting an adequate variety of nutrients. However, I strongly recommend you make whole food supplements your first choice, and steer clear of synthetic vitamins. How do you tell whether or not a supplement you’re looking at is a good choice?

For starters, make sure it has the following characteristics:

  • It is as close as possible to its natural (whole food) form.
  • Use independent third party labs that check the raw materials for contaminants and correct dosage.
  • Follows industry standards for quality assurance including ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and NSF Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) certifications.
  • The utmost care has been taken in all phases of its production, from growing its ingredients, to manufacturing, testing for potency and quality control.
  • It works! I always try to select from companies that have a long track record of providing high quality products that produce good clinical results.

If you are interested in optimizing your health your BEST solution is to choose the highest quality foods possible, and eat a wide variety of whole organic foods.

Once you have addressed your diet and are looking for further improvement, odds are you would likely benefit from some supplements, like an animal-based omega-3 supplement and a probiotic, for example. There are many others you could consider depending on your specific circumstances, but just about everyone would benefit from these two.

Just remember to do your homework first and use only those that come from a reputable manufacturer using whole-food, natural ingredients that are free from additives, and have gone through a vigorous quality control process.
