About Vicki Tate
Vicki Tate is the owner and Principal Ortho-Bionomy Practitioner at Body and Spine Align. Vicki has extensive experience and qualifications as a registered nurse, teacher and ortho-bionomy practitioner.
At the age of 16, Vicki was in two accidents that resulted in whiplash. At the time no one thought it was serious and her injuries went untreated. As she aged, the pain in her neck and shoulders became more severe. Massages every fortnight gave her some relief and allowed her to keep working. By the age of 40, Vicki’s pain became debilitating. Her right hand became inflamed and unusable; she struggled even to dress. She suffered from tendonitis, sore muscles, restricted movement and constant pain. She wasted so much of her time and money visiting lots of different practitioners with no results. She was told that there was nothing anyone could do to help.
Probably due to the exerted effort, Vicki tore the bicep in her other arm. Now with no use of either arm, she was referred to an osteopath who treated her pain with gentle physical therapy. She was then referred to yoga for rehabilitation. It was during these two treatments that Vicki was exposed to the gentle, nourishing and effective practise of ortho-bionomy.
Vicki loved this method of healing so much that she became a qualified ortho-bionomy practitioner. She especially loves to help her clients that have been told there is nothing that can be done.
The thorough Ortho-Bionomy training combined with her vast nursing experience has given Vicki an innate understanding of people, as well as their needs and concerns during times of stress and ill-health. In most cases, a sensitive, gentle touch during sessions achieves the best outcomes. This skill combined with an understanding of normal function and disease process, assist in the development of a program of exercises and other natural health practices to suit your body and lifestyle.
Her gentle style is reflected in the highly targeted and effective treatment she provides for muscular skeletal, scoliosis and postural issues.
Vicki is happy to discuss your health goals and seek the best way assist you to reach them.
